About Bullion Shark

Unfortunately, Bullion Shark doesn't have a lot to offer when it comes to additional information about its own services. It doesn't say much about who they are or what their qualifications are.

In all fairness, they have SO many products that they may assume interested users only truly want to see their various coins and bullion offerings, but it would be nice if the site went into more depth about who they are and what their competitive advantages are.

That being said, we don't want to accuse Bullion Shark of being anything less than transparent on their website. They list a variety of resources and information, including:

  • Customer disclaimers
  • User agreements
  • Privacy policy
  • Ordering Policy
  • AML policy
  • Money loss policy

This is very positive for building credibility and trust, as you know exactly what you are getting into before making a purchase.

Services Offered

Coins

Looking for coins? You will absolutely, positively NOT be disappointed.

Bullion Shark has one of the most robust offerings and widest array of precious metals and coins that we have ever seen. Their offerings can be roughly broken down into these categories:

  • Modern coins, which include a wide variety of specialty coins.
  • Classic rare coins, including various cents, nickels, dimes, and more.
  • Gold & silver bullion. This includes bars, coins, and rounds.

A section is listed for ancient and shipwrecked coins, but no coins are actually listed. This would seem to imply that Bullion Shark does sometimes have these coins but doesn't have any at the moment.

Auctions and Deals

There are also separate tabs for auctions and deals.

Furthermore, unlike many other services, you can clearly register for an account and order online, with an easy-to-use and highly convenient service ensuring that you can make purchases without ever having to talk to a person.

While this may seem like common sense in today's economy, this is not always the case for far too many rare coins and bullion websites.

It is worth noting that each page has an array of information about the product that you are interested in purchasing. Potential customers can easily find out more about a product before making a purchase.

Resources

When it comes to the resources offered on its website, Bullion Shark excels. They offer:

  • A page on coin collecting knowledge that is broken up by subcategories. This allows an individual to collect more coins with ease.
  • A page on coin values, including how they are determined and what factors go into setting up coin values. This page also reviews the history of coins, giving users a greater depth of knowledge about their coin values.
  • An active and constantly updated blog, with two entries sometimes appearing daily. As you would imagine, topics all relate to coins and discuss the value and history of certain coins.

Earning some of the largest prominences on the website is "Bullion Shark TV," which links to the site's YouTube channel and shows off some of their bullion and coins.

Furthermore, Bullion Shark is one of the view websites we've seen that has an active presence on social media. Their website links to Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. Obviously, social media use is all about generating robust content and building a brand image, but it's nice to see that Bullion Shark has the resources to put into expanding their market presence and gaining more customers.

In other words, individuals who are interested in making purchases on this website can read up about coins and come away with more knowledge than they would have thought possible.

Advantages

As we noted above, the amount of coins that are offered on Bullion Shark is massive and diverse. It offers an array of coins that we've never even seen before. If you are looking for rare coins, you have unquestionably found the right place.

The Bullion Shark website is also second to none. It is easy to navigate, has plenty of offerings and features, and enables you to easily determine what you are buying and how much it will cost. The ease with which this website can be used extends to your ability to create an account:

By clicking on "My Account" and following the steps, you can easily create an account and start ordering within a few minutes. This isn't always the case for websites like this, which often make users jump through hoops to get their online accounts up and running.

The website is constantly updated, with a robust array of content put up regularly. This means that users can easily get more information about the precious metals they are looking to purchase.

The company clearly cares about ensuring that its customers have the latest information and are ready to make informed purchases.

Bullion Shark is a member of numerous professional organizations, many of which are listed at the bottom of the website. This isn't the biggest deal in the world, but it does speak well of the organization's credibility if they at least meet the minimum standards to join industry-related groups.

Finally, we wanted to note that the messaging on this site is solid. Bullion Shark wants to be customer-oriented and give you a chance to buy rare coins and bullion.

There is no nonsense about needing to buy coins to avoid economic Armageddon or a coming apocalypse, something that is prevalent on far too many precious coin websites.

This is extremely important, as it means that Bullion Shark concentrates their website on providing you with expertise and experience, not fears about the end of the world.

Disadvantages

While the array of coins is massive, the array of bullion - ironically - is not nearly as in-depth. The selection of golf and silver bullion that doesn't coin is far more limited.

Furthermore, as of the time we checked, the Bullion Shark doesn't have any platinum, palladium, or copper. Other websites do, and this makes Bullion Shark a little less comprehensive than their competition.

An additional challenge lies in the fact that pages upon pages of products listed on the website are listed as out of stock. This is highly problematic, and it makes you wonder how often the dealers get more products and why they even list so many products that are out of stock.

While Bullion Shark does do an excellent job of providing its customers with resources, it's missing some key information. Most websites that we have worked with at least display charts that show the historical price of gold and silver, and we couldn't find that information here. That's basic information that most websites should have.

Finally, Bullion Shark doesn't offer IRAs or precious metal IRA services. This is only really a problem if a precious metal IRA is something that you are interested in, and most precious metal websites that we have worked with do make this offering.

Other Reviews

We are, of course, not the first company to do a review of Bullion Shark. Interestingly enough, however, is that there are not many websites that have reviews of Bullion Shark.

While some websites have conducted more in-depth reviews, we could not find customer ratings on the usual websites, like Google, Yelp, or Facebook.

Bullion-Shark-BBB-Reviews

The only website we could find real customer reviews from was the Better Business Bureau. Bullion Shark is an accredited BBB member, with a 3.76 out of 5-star rating. They have an A+ rating and have had only one complaint filed against them in the past 12 months.

A review of the ratings demonstrated some consistencies. Most of the reviews were positive. They discussed great service, great coins, honest marketing, and complete reliability.

There were some more problematic reviews, but at least one seemed to be related to people misunderstanding the way that Bullion Shark's marketing efforts worked. However, others were more problematic, including an allegation that a product didn't weigh what it was advertised to weigh.

Final Verdict

Bullion Shark has quite a bit going for it: A great website, a vast array of coins, and a slew of multi-media resources that can help customers at all levels. There are certainly concerns with this website, including a lack of stock and some missing information.

However, any potential issues are overcome by Bullion Shark's sheer commitment to transparency and providing customers with information. In short, this is a good website, and it seems to be a good company, one that we can recommend you do business with.
