Golden State Mint Review - Precious Metals

Golden State Mint

Golden State Mint has several types of silver precious metals like silver bars, silver coins, silver rounds, fractional silver, and more. It's worth noting that GSM has over 300 silver products in all. Some silver products you'll find include the 1 Kilo GSM Silver Bar, 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin BU, and 1 oz Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Proof Silver.

Platinum and Palladium

There is a great deal of gold precious metals, including Gold Bars, Gold Coins, Gold Rounds, Fractional Gold, 1 oz Gold, Kilo Gold, and more. Golden State Mint does not have as many gold products as it does silver, but they still have a great inventory.

Some gold products include the 1 Gram Argor-Heraeus Gol Bar, 1 Gram PAMP Suisse Lady Fortuna Gold Bar, 1 Kilo Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) Gold Bar, 1 oz American Gold Buffalo Coin BU, and 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin BU.

You'll also find some platinum and palladium bars. At this time, GSM only has one product: a 1 oz Platinum Bar. It's unclear whether the company typically carries more variety. You'll need to speak with a representative for more information.

Golden State Mint also has precious metals meant for collection. You'll find a range of collection precious metals like Antiqued Silver, Colorized Copper & Silver, Holiday-Event Items, Buffalo Rounds, Incuse Indians, and more.

After searching online, Golden State Mint does not appear to have many reviews overall. However, they are a BBB-accredited business with 10 reviews on the platform. Let's take a look at what these customers have said about the company:

Overall, the reviews from customers on the Better Business Bureau were mostly positive. One customer said that they had bought several orders of silver rounds over the last few months with Golden State Mint.

All orders have been in great condition. The customer said that shipping for them has been about 10 days to 2 weeks, but seemed to be okay with this shipping timeline.

Golden State Mint-Reviews

Another customer left a review stating that they ordered with Golden State Mint on two occasions. Each time, the transaction process has been smooth.

According to another customer, they have been shopping with Golden State Mint for about a year. They placed 3 orders in the past few months, which went successfully for them. They said that they initially found the company for its military/veteran discount. They further stated that Golden State Mint had the best prices for fractional silver and had an impressive "Deals" section.

Out of the 10 reviews, one person gave the company 1 star. The reviewer said they were going to write a positive review after speaking with the owner about a wire transfer refund. According to the customer, the owner agreed to refund the amount after the order took too long to be shipped.

The customer says that it has been three weeks and they called in more than four times to remind them of the refund. The customer noted that it had been almost 3 months since the order was placed and they did not receive a product or refund.

Golden State Mint did respond to this review and noted that the lack of refund was their fault and it seems that Golden State Mint took action to correct the issue. This says a lot about the company's ability to take accountability and resolve issues for its customers.

  • Pro: Offers IRA Services

  • Pro: Low Ordering Threshold for Shipping Fees

  • Con: Not as Established as Other Companies

One downside of Golden State Mint is that the company isn't as established as other dealers. Overall, there were only 10 solid reviews found online, which is relatively low for any precious metals dealer.

Luckily, most of those reviews were positive and gave great insight into the company. However, if you're looking for a precious metals company with a more solid reputation, there are several other dealers to consider.

Golden State Mint: Final Thoughts

Golden State Mint is a precious metal dealer with 45 years of experience providing gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and copper. The company also provides IRA services for investors who want to hold physical gold in an IRA.
