Director, Autonomous Research
Pooma is Director of Autonomous Research, an independent financials research firm owned by AllianceBernstein. She connects CEOs, CFOs and investor relations teams of publicly-listed companies with global investors.
Until June 2019, Pooma was Managing Director of OMFIF, an independent think tank for central banking, economic policy, and public investment. Prior to joining OMFIF in January 2012, Pooma was at a boutique private equity firm investing into companies in countries along the Silk Road, before moving to the real estate finance team a global investment bank.
Pooma takes a keen interest in entrepreneurship and finance for social good. She is a member of the UK City of London’s Sustainable Development Capital Initiative. She is partner and co-founder at Earth Heir, a luxury ethical craftsmanship brand infusing modern design into traditional crafts and abides by fairtrade principles, and was a City Committee member at Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity under the patronage of HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
She is an active University College London (UCL) alumna, and holds a postgraduate degree in law.
